will be leading a major mission in the parish church during June 5-7, 2020.
Roger is the Archbishop of York’s evangelist and has led university and parish missions all over the UK and abroad, helping parishes and deaneries to reach out beyond the fringes of our churches.
He received the The Alphege Award for Evangelism and Witness in 2018 from the Archbishop of Canterbury for his outstanding work. Roger, as self-deprecating as he is irrepressible, and a compulsive truth-teller, admits “I’m no good at evangelism really – I just like to have a go”. This is, nevertheless, a ministry that he has exercised faithfully and fruitfully in a very wide range of contexts and we, and you, are going to enjoy these benefits.
As a precursor to the mission in June next year, Roger joined us in services on 17 November, for 10am Communion, and for Messy Church at 4pm, and will be speaking at our Carols by Candlelight service on Sunday 22 December at 6:30pm.
Full details of the mission in June next year will follow over the coming weeks and months.
