Reading Room for Hire

The Reading Room joins the 21st century!

With effect from 1st January 2017 bookings can be made on-line from this website. Just follow the menu links on this website to make your booking. Finding a free date and time is now much easier with the bookings diary also on-line. Once you have found your slot just complete the on-line form and submit your request. All is explained on this page, including terms, conditions, hire rates and booking procedure.

Seating 40, the Reading Room is ideal for post-christening celebrations, small weddings and wakes, and is also available for general hire, business events, children’s and family parties.

overhead video projector and audio amplification system with the capacity to play CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes. It also has VGA and stereo mini-jack connections for your own laptop (PC or Mac) to permit presentations. This and use of catering and other facilities are available at extra charge

The Reading Room, across the road from the church, is a Grade 2 listed building. It includes a large hall, kitchen, toilet facilities, and a garden.

(While the Reading Room is accessible for the disabled, the toilet facilities are not.)

Rates for Reading Room Hire
Standard               £10/hr with minimum of 2 hrs
Charity                   £5/hr with minimum of 2 hrs
Commercial          £12/hr with minimum of 2hrs, or a daily rate of £100

Please Note:
A deposit of £50 is refundable where no loss or damage has occurred.
The use of crockery, cutlery, tables and chairs is included; formal ware is available for hire. Kitchen facilities are available and included in the hire charge, but use of ovens will incur an additional charge.
Use of the audio/visual system will also incur an additional charge.
